The Classic Theatre Festival in Heritage Perth, Ontario (an hour south of Ottawa) is the Ottawa Valley’s only professional theatre company. Our 2018 season consists of the following:
There’s Always Juliet by John van Druten
Rehearsals start June 5
Runs June 22 to July 15
Mrs. Warren’s Profession by Bernard Shaw
Rehearsals start July 3
Runs July 20 to Aug. 12
Angel Street (Gaslight) by Patrick Hamilton
Rehearsals start July 31
Runs Aug. 17 to Sept. 9
Performance schedule: Tues. to Sun. at 2pm; Wed. and Sat. at 8pm
In particular we are seeking to cast the following:
Female Lead Actor – age late 20’s to early 30’s, British RP accent, upper class, charming and carefree
Female Lead Actor – age late 30’s to early 40’s, British RP accent, upper class, anxious but with hidden strength
Female Character Actor – age 50’s to 60’s, working class British accent, motherly
Male Lead Actor – middle aged, British RP accent, upper class, suave and authoritative but bitter
Male Juvenile Lead Actor – age early 20’s, British RP, upper class, pleasant, pretty, smartly dressed, cleverly good-for-nothing, with a charming voice and agreeably disrespectful manners
Male Character Actor – middle aged, British RP, upper class, bumbling
Male Character Actor – middle aged, middle class British accent, greying, short, wiry, active, brusque, friendly, overbearing
