Please help us with our New Voices New Stages program at Burning Passions Theatre. Thank you so much for your support!
Truth and Reconciliation is more than words. They must be equaled with action. The Seniors Sharing Stories theatre training project is going well, with lots of fabulous insights, thoughtful moments, and tons of laughter as we begin to develop and rehearse scenes designed to lift the cone of invisibility placed over the lives of our community elders.
Burning Passions Theatre is honoured to work with this group of seniors in partnership with Rideau-Rockliffe Crc as we continue to develop a play that will be performed in early June.

Burning Passions Theatre is off to a great start in partnership with the wonderful folks at CRC Rideau-Rockcliffe CRC on the Seniors Sharing Stories community-engaged theatre project. Response to the project is strong, and we are over-subscribed with folks wanting to be involved, breaking the silences and shining the light on what are all too often invisible lives, struggles, challenges, and joys of navigating elder years with dignity, community, and support.
After a week of discussion on critical issues facing Ottawa seniors, we are now prepared to move to the next stage of the project, developing scenes that will form the basis of a play presented in early June. Stay tuned!
