5 days agoBurning Passions Theatre is off to a great start in partnership with the wonderful folks at CRC Rideau-Rockcliffe CRC on the Seniors Sharing Stories community-engaged theatre project. Response to the project is strong, and we are over-subscribed with folks wanting to be involved, breaking the silences and shining the light on what are all too often invisible lives, struggles, challenges, and joys of navigating elder years with dignity, community, and support.
After a week of discussion on critical issues facing Ottawa seniors, we are now prepared to move to the next stage of the project, developing scenes that will form the basis of a play presented in early June. Stay tuned! ... See MoreSee LessView Comments- Likes: 3

4 months agoWe are so grateful to be able to tell stories on stage. The much-missed Joan Didion reminded us that we tell ourselves stories in order to live, and during these troubled times, nothing could be truer than that.
